Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After demolishing my PS1s last autocross season, it was time for some new rubber. I considered the hankook v12s for the price but I didn't think they would be able to handle the autocross abuse. I didn't want to spend major bank on PS2s or the like because they aren't going to last through this year's autocross season anyways. I bought some BFG KDW2s because I had enjoyed driving and autocrossing on them in my girlfriend's 330. Yes they will probably become noisy after awhile, but they probably won't last that long anyways. I stuck with stock 285 rear sizes but upped the front to 245/35/18 to try and balance out the car some. I sure hope they will fit! Should be no problem on the 8" wheel but the wheel well might be tight. Out the door and installed they were just over $1000 for the set. I hope they work out. At the very least they should look badass. At this rate I'll never afford r-comps though.

POST 2Original post

my hoosier a6 245/35/18 fit fine up front during an autox, so i imagine your street tire will be fine. the bfg kdw2 do look cool. any reason you didn't go with the other popular autox 140 treadwear tires, aka hankook r-s3? my hankook v12 were cheap, and are a fine DD tire, but i agree would never hold up on an autox course. btw, have you autox'd yet with your new konis? my koni rears are here, but my fronts are on backorder.
