Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am not going to get FTD with this setup but I can't stop smiling running the course.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thought I would share my experiences from the recent autox I attended. This was the first time out in my Porsche, however, I went to the same even last summer when I still owned my Skyline GTR.
This particular event was held at the Continental Tires Test Track in Brimley Michigan. It was a 2 day event (i was only able to make it to day 1) and had over 80 drivers! The driving got started around 10am. The weather was perfect, car ran great all day, not a single issue!
My first run was to learn the course and feel the car, I ran a 93 second pass. within the next 3 runs, I managed to get up to the 81.2 mark, then we took a break for lunch. First run out after lunch, I came out hot, running my best pass of the day at 77.2 seconds without REALLY pushing the car. One of my chums that went with me was running a 2010 STi stage 2 and ran a 77.56 second run.
At the end of the day, I was really happy with the way everything turned out. I am still feeling out the car and gaining confidence in how solid it is. My c4 is still fairly new to me, I had only bought it in the fall of 2014, so I haven't had much seat time, especially driving it like this.
Here are a couple photos that popped up online after the event.
How does it compare to your GTR from last year?
For this car and the GTR, I find it more suited to track days rather than auto-x, especially the smaller courses, but that's just my preference.
Unfortunately, the Skyline never ran as it should. It always felt like it wasn't even up to stock standards let alone to the level I had it built to. When I did autox the GTR, it was fairly stock and I had a hard time navigating the course which in turn led to terrible times, or DNFs. Ride quality on the other hand, it had nothing on the 911. Turn in and steering feel are leaps and bounds better in the Porsche.
Definitely Pete! I am really beginning to trust the car and not worry about any issues coming up, especially after all the problems I had in the GTR. With that being said, I am finally able to hop in the car, and go out and drive, and actually enjoy the time spent in it.
Awesome! I remember when I picked you up at the hotel and drove on the highway and asked you if I could dump it in 3rd for the last time. The smile on your face was priceless!
That's so weird you mention that because I think of that from time to time - seeing and hearing the car for the first time, I was so excited! Everytime I drive the car I get that feeling.
Nice car!
I have a 996 setup for track and it is a blast to autocross. I am not going to get FTD with this setup but I can't stop smiling running the course.
Thanks! Your car looks great too!
I was placed in a class that had 2 cars in it. In reality I could careless about times and classes and all that, I just wanted to drive my car more than what I can on the street and have fun with a few of my buds
