Hi everyone. 2001 C4 Coupe 6 speed. I started with a fuel reading problem. Gauge read ok with Duramentric otherwise read empty. I swapped out the sending unit. Still read zero. Started over. Now: Tank is empty. New sending unit Battery disconnected. I want to put in 7.3 gallons of fuel. I can not get gas in tank. It runs back out the fill port. What's up? Lang G

Therein lies part of the problem. I want to connect the electricity when the sender is plugged in and there is 7.3 gallons in the tank. But maybe that is not possible.

I was having the same problem. Thought it was the fuel vent system in these cars. I would take it to the same Shell gas station because the 93 V power gasoline is what Jake Raby recommends for our cars, but every time I would try to pump gasoline in the 996, it would click off. Frustrating! I started going to a different station and didn't have the problem anymore. What could be the problem the car?
