Bought a supposed good used CDR210 from a low mileage Boxster. It has a Becker replacement sticker. I got the code and it powers up but I have no sound output. https://youtu.be/m9G36ZPUUx8 Is there anything I can check or is the radio dead ? Thanks

I took one of those OUT of my car, and interestingly like you it had been put there in place of the original tape deck. I have the base audio system, so no external amp. Maybe that�s it. In my case the factory wiring harnesses were in place, but the unit was in a metal frame and there was a tab on the metal frame that connected to the brown alarm wire. Did you try a CD? One thing that�s weird is that when you click the volume up and down it does not indicate such on the display. I think mine did display that but I can�t be certain.

I�ve seen 1999s with the CDR220. Perhaps the CDR210 doesn�t have preamp outs.

I've had a bunch of CDR210s in my car that I've ended up reselling. This was the cleanest one I've had and was gonna keep it

Got another one in the mail today and it works fine. Tried swapping faceplates and this original one still had no sound. Going to send it back to the vendor, too bad really it was in great physical condition.
