Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Did Porsche make a manual sport back seat for the 996 I want sport seats but they all seem to electric and heavy as a horse and I prefer not to go aftermarket Mike

POST 2Original post

These just sold in the Marketplaceat a bargain basement price. Id budget more like $1200-1500 for a decent set of black 996 manual sport seats. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1...0sport%20seats These are still listed in the Marketplace. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1...t=996%20sport% https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1...0sport%20seats The manual for 996 sport seats refers to the fore/aft movement on manual sliding seat rails. The manuals are still not light but not anywhere near as heavy as the full power seats.

I have hardback sport seats (the hard back is car colour and has a "handy-but-never-used-by-me" coathook on the back. They are as manual as manual can be - fore and aft on the rails, up and down is spring loaded, and the tilt is also manual...and apparently they were an expensive option if only because of the painted back. I'm sure that adds some weight, too.
