Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

We also replaced the axle lock nuts which had a lot of inner corrosion and the axle boot clamps.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Picked up this C4 back in December 2014 with 92K miles.
Completely stock with the GT3 Aerokit (except rear bumper tails).

The suspension will make it a totally different car. How Bilstein made a suspension that rides better and corners like a slot car is pretty incredible.
Good looker.
To keep me from going crosseyed when looking at your pics... which I know is a priority of yours... take a few steps back and then use the zoom of your camera. (you probably already know this but most people don't).
Nice. You have great taste is cars.
That car in that color with a tip and full supple leather is my dream. Some people list after air cooled, some people turbos. Not me. Give me a mark 1 with the aero kit.
Now, I'll give you $1.00 if you start a thread asking about which oil to use what to do about your IMS.
Welcome and congratulations on your new Pcar! We have a great DIY tech article about doing the
PSS10 install here
if you need any assistance. Post some pictures once you get them installed!

We'll make you a "VarioCam just kicked in, yo" sticker.
I drove a crooked H (Tiburon) before I got my first Porsche...
Nice car - the GoPro fisheye effect makes the nose look huge! And very happy.
So I finally took the 996 for service for the following
:
-oil change and courtesy inspection
-airbag light check
-rear wheel noise during >25 mph
This is what we found
:
-no signs of IMS failure or any leaks.
-fuel cap seal crack (replaced)
-drive belt crack (replaced)
-failing rear wheel bearings. They were so worn that they seized in the axle housing requiring us to remove the knuckles from the transmission and pressing them out. We also replaced the axle lock nuts which had a lot of inner corrosion and the axle boot clamps.
-front drop link splitting
The airbag light scanned as a generic SRS fault requiring further diagnosis. Pending at the moment.
Front end links will be replaced when we put these badboys on.
