Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was looking at 15mm spacers for 02 c4s. There was a set of 2 for 115. Black, hubcentric. Then I saw set of 4 with the exact same description but different make for 75. For a road car, should I pay the extra for Ecs or go cheap? The matetials are likely better but would it matter for my application (weekend driving)? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Well 15mm spacers will be thick enough to need the hubcentric part to be machined on the spacer. The weight of the car will be held by this machined part. You will also more than likely need longer wheel bolts, lots of junk out there for both spacers and bolts.

POST 3Original post

Go with ECS. They are quality made hub-centric and they also supply the proper length wheels bolts for the spacers (extra of course). They are not the cheapest but when it comes to adding spacers, cheap is not good. These are your wheels and for safety reasons you should go with what I feel are the best spacers on the market. I have owned 3 Porsches and all I have ever used are ECS spacers. Their site also provides depiction of what your wheel stance will be with various widths compared to the stock, no spacer setup. Quality company.

POST 4Original post

I'm also looking at 15mm spacers for the rear and it seems that the ecs spacer kit only comes with black lug bolts. My wheels are silver, would it be wrong to but the lug bolts in silver separately?

POST 5Original post

As stated above, ECS Tuning spacers & lug bolts are a nice set up. High quality, black lug bolts, etc. They are often discounted.
