What works for me is to disconnect the rest of the air box, flip it over in my arms, so I can see the connector clip, and use a small screwdriver to pop the tab.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Trying to remove the air box on my '03 C2 - can't get the MAF sensor disconnected. It's the style with the locking tab on the back, underside of the connector. Anybody have a tip to get it off? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I have trouble with this one, every time. What works for me is to disconnect the rest of the air box, flip it over in my arms, so I can see the connector clip, and use a small screwdriver to pop the tab.

POST 3Original post

Push the connector in to release the pressure on the clip. Don't use a screwdriver

POST 4Original post

Agree, this one is PIA to disconnect. I also remove box first, then I manage to unclip it just pressing.
