Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If any of you are on instagram I highly suggest following Magnus Walker. His #getoutanddrive pictures are amazing. He does a lot of meetups with car guys (always a ton of Porsches) and he just generally posts amazing pictures of amazing cars in amazing places. I say we start our own thread here! Post scenic pictures of your (or someone elses) beloved 996. Rather than just posting professional pictures of perfectly posed and cleaned cars. If you ever just stopped, got out, and took a picture just because you were enjoying the day, post it here. I love my car and I'm always taking pictures. Last night I went for a spirited drive around chicago and snapped a couple pictures. Ill start. If this is a bad idea, please dont roast me too much, Im just an over excited newbie here that loves seeing everyone's cars. Ill start:
These are from a recent 5000 mile trip.
#1 Florida all clean
#2 Oklahoma frozen
#3 Getting closer
#4 Cant drive just 80 when the roads are so open
#5 Home covered in 10 states of road grime!
Thanks! Its Gloss Dark Grey Avery Dennison Wrap. I searched for a while to find the closest thing to the old school Porsche Slate Grey.
unfiltered daytime pic.
I love the spirit of this post!
These are photos from my tour through the southeast Washington wheat farming area last summer. We went on down through northwestern Oregon on a back road through the Wallowa Whitman National Forest to Enterprise and La Grande, Oregon. This is the area where the Nez Perce Indians wintered in the old days. Traffic was not a problem but it was incredibly scenic. I didn't get any pictures that day. I must have been having too much fun.
I was stopped for speeding the next day on a back road near Pullman, WA. I was let off. I think the trouper was bored and want to know what that funny thing that retracted on the back was.

Five miles from home. Lake Havasu City, AZ
For the initial poster: Were you in front of the Field Museum in that photo? I spent 50 years in Chicago, but I can't tell if that's the Field, or Museum of Science & Industry. Nice looking car, either way...
Yessir. Good Eye! One of my favorite places to stop after a nice, night drive. The Shedd Aquarium, The Planetarium, and Soldier Field are all right there.
This invitation sign is on Hwy 12, just south of Lillooet, BC. After driving the the Sea to Sky up to Whistler, then the Duffy Lake Road (amazing) this is the next bit to look forward to enroute to Lytton. Twisty fun! I'm sure Triple Black and everyone else in the PCA-CWR also knows it well.
I took a long drive out to Starved Rock State park today. The roads along the river are the best Ive found anywhere near Chicago. Lots of curves, not much traffic, no cops.
love this thread...here is a picture of my 16 year old son driving my car back from Redmond Town Center Exotics cars and coffee.
And a picture of me driving on the track...

That has got to be one of the best looking targas I have ever seen. The the sharpe lines of the rear window complement the sharper lines of the .2 aero kit. And on top of that, once again, GT3 wheels just make the 996 pop! How much is your car lowered....it looks perfect?
Lowpue,
thank you. I agree about the .2 aero Sharp lines with the targa. That said, I am not sure I like it better than your/.1 design. .1 defiantly goes better with .1 gen lights and taco.
bilsteins and H&R springs. Coilovers at some point. Blew that budget on the Gt3 buckets.😎

It was a nice morning for a drive along the western shore of Hood Canal. Very light traffic outbound and relatively light inbound makes for a satisfying run.
Well, I put the front plate back on and went for a drive with a new friend, he owns a slick 4S RWD converted... He's a nice guy to boot. 160 miles and a loop around the Quabbin Reservoir in MA at moderate pace was a more than enjoyable time. I like this thread.

Thanks for posting! Too bad you were the lead car the whole time as the C4S has such a pretty tail. It feels a vid should now be required for this thread.
I know, video would have been a lot better if I was chasing. In my defense, we were on my home turf and my buddy was not familiar with the roads where I have been on them tons of times.
That being said, were already working on a part 2 with multiple cameras and angles.
Ill become a real YouTuber yet !
Its kind of funny, videos started with a drive video on some roads by my house, the video ended up with a couple thousand views since I put it up, I figured some people must have liked it and have tried to keep it going.

The Mrs and I took a weekend trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The car handled the 12% grade up the 8 miles to the summit of Mt Washington like it was nothing; I even felt frisky and got up to 2nd a few times on the ascent. I stayed in 1st the entire time back but only had to tap the brakes when slowing down at a meeting with someone going the opposite way. Most of the other cars on the descent were riding their brakes and many had to pull over to designated areas to let them cool. Given the grip and narrow dimensions, I found myself actually using the gas some on the way down to have some fun and annoy my wife. The Auto Road closes for the season on 10/26 but I highly recommend it if yall get a chance to drive up one day.
Maybe next summer I'll try this. I don't think my wife will ride with me though. Maybe I'll go on my own. I've been up there in one of the vans they take people up in, but never driven it myself.
I was supposed to be changing the oil and some other stuff but somehow ended up on a three hour drive up the coast. It was a glorious day and after the crappy week I had, I think it was a much better use of my time.
I have hiked it a couple times and gone up the auto road with the wife and kids...
Good time when the weather is cooperating.

Road tripped from San Diego to Flagstaff yesterday afternoon. Averaged about 80mph for the drive, and almost 25mpg. Todays plan was to run the 89A (Flagstaff to Sedona and back) today. Unseen road debris nixed those plans. Fun Fact: aint nobody in Flagstaff who stocks a 285/35R18, in any brand.
I drove to the tip of Point Loma for the spectacular San Diego Bay backdrop.
Not much of a photo-op but I did get to turn on my upgraded fog lights for the first time since I bought the car three and a half years ago.
`
took a beautiful ride up the Sierra Nevada's, first ride on Feal coil-over suspension. it handle and rode great.
last time I was at this lake a C130 aircraft flew thru the middle of this lake at tree top level, could not not get the camera out quick enough LOL flight crew probably happy I didn't.
If your wondering where this is, this is the gateway to the Jeepers Rubicon.
The weather forecast was warm and dry on Saturday, so gassed up Shadowfax (03 c4, Seal Grey cab) and took him down for a visit with my cousin. The top was down and it was only about 40f, so hat, gloves, and lap blanket for my companion.

Drove to Cosmo Motors in Hickory NC to see some of their amazing cars this past weekend. My buddy in his Lexus ISF took a video of my C4S on the way back. Enjoy
