Reported cause
The problem was a loose fit between connector and drain tube.
Leading evidence: 'loose fit between connector and drain tube' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'loose fit between connector and drain tube' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check integrity and presence of part number' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Yes, just cleaned the drains, only 1 had leaves in it.

Re-installed connect with zip tie to accumulator tank and used Jubilee clamp on drain tube end.

That link works, but I found the 996 part number on the connector which has been replaced by 997 part number.

We cleaned out and replaced the outside air filter which a mouse had a party with.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I am having issues with AC condensation leaking into the driver and passenger foot wells. If the fix is to blow out the AC Condenser drain, I am wondering how to access this. Does anyone have some good photo's and instructions how to do this? Thanks so much.
Passenger side foot well. Pull back the carpet next to the firewall and you will see the drain hose next to the center tunnel. Just detach it there and give it a quick shot of air. I also recommend sticking a shop vac nozzle on the bottom of the airbox to clear out anything in the airbox (leaves/lint).
Have you cleaned out all your front drains?
If it's like other cars I've had problems with have a small container to catch any water held back inside the condenser box. I found out the hard way once!
Well, it's quite a task to "pull back" the carpeting!, so I skipped that for now. I do see a rubber tube where you described coming down behind the carpeting, toward the center tunnel. Would this be the drain?
Hi Tom, Have not had a chance to do it yet, but will let you know how it goes when I do. It was a really hot humid day, stuck in heavy traffic when it happened, and have not had that opportunity come up again (thankfully!), to see if it does it again. We cleaned out and replaced the outside air filter which a mouse had a party with. Thanks so much for your help.
I have exact same problem. I know the a/c drain is leaking where drain tube connects to tank outlet. Car is 2002 C4S. Here is where leak is:
Its as if the drain tube is much smaller than rubber attached to tank. I’ve used vacuum and air pressure on drain tube. I can hear under escaping under car, so drain my be clear. I tried a zip tie to help seal, didn’t work. Then I tried a jubilee clamp, also does not work, still leaks.
Next I may try wrapping drain tube with Teflon tape to increase its diameter. I don’t see any cracks in drain tube or rubber fitting.
Need suggestions and quick!
Used previous RL photo for illustration.
That is actually the accumulator.
The condenser are in the front of the car, next to the two radiators.
I‘m not trying to be a know-it-all.
I wouldn’t want someone to order a condenser when they need an accumulator and vice versa.
Good to know, but not sure I referred to condenser. OP may have. I’ve tried to find parts diagram with little success. Not sure my parts need replacing, but would be nice to all related parts. It’s giving me fits!

My son found this link, but of course the diagram looks nothing like actual part:

Not sure if this is it. May remove just to check integrity and presence of part number.
Found new part number:

Removed connector and it seems to have no cracks or split:
Small end connects to drain with very loose fit. Attached wet-dry vac to drain tube and it appears clear. Plan to build up drain tube end with Teflon tape, re-attach, use zip tie to tank end and Jubilee clamp on drain tube end, crank car and look for leaks. Wish me luck!
That link works, but I found the 996 part number on the connector which has been replaced by 997 part number. Having actual part number helps when the drawings are so unlike actual part.
Thanks
Ordered new connector for spare part. Drain was patent. Used vacuum, injected air, pushed water through drain, then put dilute bleach into drain tube. Tested fit with connector and it was very loose. Re-installed connect with zip tie to accumulator tank and used Jubilee clamp on drain tube end. Increased size of drain tube with a few wraps of electrical tape. So far, no more leaks. I do not believe there was any clog at all. The problem was a loose fit between connector and drain tube. Aluminum foil was to help me detect any leak.
Just received new part from Porsche, which is good cause leak started again at larger end of connector. I had re-attached it with zip tie, but was dripping small amount. New part is much tighter fit. Used Jubilee clamps to attach and will re-test for leaks. Fit was so much tighter that I had to remove the electrical tape Id added to the drain tube for a tighter fit with old connector. Here is photo of newest part

I just went through this leak. Seams the elbow had swelled and water backed up into the foot well.
Now I need to order more parts to justify shipping a $6.00 port for $9.00 in shipping costs, lol!
Hey guys, I have a 997 Cab. Last night I had the top down and made a spirited left hand turn around a roundabout and felt water hit my feet (drivers side North America). I got caught in heavy rain earlier this week (top up, of course). Does this sound more like an exterior clogged drain vs clogged AC drain?
Are their additional drains specific just to the cabriolet?
Yes thats the evepprator. On a 996 its just a rubber hosr that goes under the carpet and through the floor.
Im not well versed on a 997 buy in your case it sounds more like the drains r clogged. I would look for a drain diagraim for your car and inspect.
Thanks! I located the 4 drains under the frunk and they were pretty clogged. Kind of surprised as the car has <15,000 miles and has been garaged her whole life. Cheers!
