Of course, both solutions I have no head unit control but rather I have to use the ipod itself but it is WAY better than nothing......or crappy wireless FM modulation.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I can tell you I have been frustrated by the local dealer, the chain stores, everyone saying there is no way to provide an Aux In for the CDR220. Well, it all appears to be nonsense. I found through another thread here SW Stereo (do a google) which has the hack to provide RCA inputs that you can plug in anything with a line level output (iPod, sat rad, etc.). They were kind enough to also provide removal keys and programming guide so that the CDR220 knows what is going on. I will lose the changer operation, but with Sirius, who cares. I've stopped listening to CD's anyway at home, office, car and boat. SW Stereo was also helpful on install tips. Give them a ring if you are looking for the hack, and it sounds like they can hack just about any Porsche OEM unit.

POST 2Original post

I also wanted to get a aux in for my Sirius. I stopped listening to CDs and the radio ever since I subscribed to sirius. Do you a direct link to the part I need? TIA

POST 3Original post

If it was that easy, Denison would have had their unit to market years ago!

POST 4Original post

What am I missing here? What hack are you talking about? If you have a CDR220 then all you need to do is install the Becker Aux Kit (about $16) and get an RCA Y-adapter from Radioshack and you're all set. The CDR220 does not use the MOST bus -- no hacking required.

POST 5Original post

yes, just call becker radio and ask for the aux-in kit for the cdr-220. Make sure that you get a sheilded RCA y-adapter (it will say it on the packaging) or else you will get alternator whine over your radio.

POST 6Original post

I installed that Becker part....but my radio keeps on going thru all 6 cd's (ofcourse without actually playing them)...and after the 6th on is reached it stops.....anybody know how to fix this??

POST 7Original post

You disconnected the changer right? Then utilized the Becker aux piece like is used in the ipod installs? The Becker part has instructions for changing the CDR head unit to to AUX, which should solve your probelm.

POST 9Original post

Correct. MOST began with the CDR23 and PCM2......and is with us thru 2012 at least.

POST 12Original post

dell i just don't get how they cannot not make a hard connection for ipods in the 997 or even offer a retro fit. i know these cars are amazinfg drivers but sometimes you have to satisfy the masses...a little this is one of the reasons i pre-ordered the BM ps i may be leasing it

POST 13Original post

You and me both. No ipod or satellite (well sat is avail now as a retrofit) in these cars when others have had it for years is just amazing! I have a direct wired FM kit in my Cayenne and it is great and I have the Becker solution for pre-MOST cars that cost me a total of $24 (including shipping) and that is a great solution as well. Of course, both solutions I have no head unit control but rather I have to use the ipod itself but it is WAY better than nothing......or crappy wireless FM modulation.

POST 14Original post

is there any way to connect an ipod and a sirius satellite tuner to the aux input on a cdr 220 at the same time?

POST 15Original post

You have to select AUX on the 220 once you install the aux jack.
