If you'd like some used replacements for your front wheels (I only have the fronts my rears were damaged,) I'll get them over to you for the cost of shipping.

Wow! Gorgeous cab. The exact same wheels were on my car when I bought mine - took me forever to figure out what they were. They're Victor Equipment Turismo. I've never seen another polished/chrome set in the wild. If you'd like some used replacements for your front wheels (I only have the fronts my rears were damaged,) I'll get them over to you for the cost of shipping. About as free as I can offer. Las Vegas Metro area. I can send you some photos of mine later tonight so you can gauge if you'd like them or not. I think mine are in pretty good condition but I can't really remember. They've just been sitting in my garage as "decorations" as I couldn't be motivated to try to sell them. Figured they may be of some use to you if you decide to hang on to yours. If you don't want them, no sweat!
Just drive it! Congratulations on the purchase. 996's are great cars and there is a healthy support community in terms of DIY as well as aftermarker. In fact new aftermarket stuff is still being developed, 20 years later. Pretty amazing.

Was going to swap wt clear ones? Yes the top is literally brand new. Color combo IMHO is very subtle and classic when in roadster type form. Looked at red on natural but all my others were red. 930 on like Kashmir was cool..looked a Vesuvius one on grey leather�this just seemed like color combo could live with for long time and would, has aged well. Only color scared me was black cause I�m so **** I�d always see imperfections unless was a concours car lol�being said I�d love a triple black. Thanks for complements. They are a joy to drive.
im looking to move south when retire in few years. I�ve owned like 42 cars and swear I�m taking this one into retirement. Not because it�s so bad *** or fast it�s just a car I feel I can live with as it ages. Analog and rather more engineering then electronics. I used to be into older bmw. Love them. However the new ones have designed in a certain unfixable aspect as they age so you buy a new one. Anyone wt deep pockets can buy a m3 competition. Don�t get me wrong they are great and hell knows I�d buy a new 911 if could afford. I just sold my Macan S. Great car. Not a 996. I�m finally cool wt not having the newer version or fastest. I want semi classic vintage I feel.

Unlike up north where you have a winter car and Porsche cabriolet comes out in the summer I put cab in back of garage here in Florida for the summer and drive my summer car 😀

You're wasting your money if u do it now, that car has a dual row. That clutch if driven properly to date should last till 70, 80k miles.

Nice cab! I have the same combo but a �99� model. Original clutch and IMS with 75K.
+1 on the dual row IMS. I wouldn�t sweat it until you�re ready for a clutch/AOS/RMS change and just do it all at once. I�m not planning to swap the IMS unless I see something suspicious in the oil analysis.
Also, IMHO keep the ambers and get a set of hollow 18� turbo twists.
