Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ok ok, after looking at all of your lovely car pictures I was inspired to get off my rear and take a few pics of my 2000 996. (No it hasn't blown up yet) I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and figured it was about time to get official. Thanks for all the great info.
Eibach springs installed.
hey eggodynamics, you have a thread asking about chopping springs... now I know why. At first glance I thought your 996 was a modified cayenne. lol j/k
20's on the back, 19's on the front. P Zero's on Axis rims. I plan on going with a set of adjustable Bilstens at some point and lowering it 1/2". I may go with a slightly less aggressive rear offset as well. Not really sure yet as this is my first Porsche and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I like the classic street car look.
I would have done this all at once, but I don't run a hedge fund.
nice ride Eggman!
wow 20's....I was thinking 19's on US ride height otherwise the fender gap was too small... didnt think the rears were 20!
great pics thanks for sharing
OH and BTW I have a stock full suspension in my garage you can basically have for shipping and my time to box it up... might be fun to tinker with
Yes I am certain, 20's on the rear. Suspension is currently stock springs with Bilsten OEM stock replacement shocks. I realize this is a more aggressive look, but I'm trying to find a balance between extreme street, and those beautiful german lines.
Noone can dispute that the lines on the 996 are work of art. Don't forget where the 911 came from!
ok, staggerred wheel sizes...the fronts look awefully close to 20's, but that's a great alternative, since 20's up front kind of look out of place on the Pcar for sure...
IMO, the tires are a bit thin on the sidewall, but if the ride is fine and potholes aren't a big problem where you drive...go for it.
what size tires are you running F / R ?
Great looking car. Really glad you decided not to cut the springs.
That rear tire looks really streched over the rim in the first pic.
Probably why the fit works back there.
Enjoy.
Thank you! Incidentally these car's are very photogenic! I swear the car was coming on to me while I was taking snapshots. Maybe I'm high on exhaust fumes..
Thanks guys. I can almost smell the heritage of classic 911 now that my car is finished. I'm a proud very owner. Something about the simplicity of the 996 just does it for me. I also think the 5 spokes bring out the vintage character of the 996 and am really glad I went with them.
These rims are discontinued.
FYI, you have to roll the inside lip on your rear fenders to house 20" rims without scrub. Well worth it for the meaty back legs imho. Oddly enough the front fender lips come rolled from the factory. My wheel/tire sizes are a closely guarded secret :P
