Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
A single example will illustrate what Im talking about, went to replace the serpentine belt on the turbo, porsche part almost $75, continental belt $20.
Leading evidence: 'Replace serpentine belt' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace serpentine belt' (1 discussions). It uses a Stock but modified AOS that keeps much of the oil from getting into it the first place, it eliminates the diaphragm in the AOS making it a "Lifetime".
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have always known what was inside the Porsche Motorsport AOS, but many people haven't seen what's inside or know the difference between the Stock and Motorsport AOS..
First off they are both made of PA66/GF35 which is an abbreviation for Polyamide ( Nylon) 66 that is 35% glass filled.
They both are made by Mann+Hummel for Porsche
They both have the exact same rubber diaphragm that can/will fail..
The ONLY difference functionally is the MAOS has a larger oil chamber, roughly double the size of the Stock AOS, that holds twice the oil..
Is this a good thing? Only if there isn't a better solution. It was designed to hold more oil in the larger chamber to keep it from going into the intake, yes it does that...
But where did that oil come from? It came from the Sump., so holding more oil means less is in the Sump..
But it has a drain on it? yes but the drain is the same size as the Stock AOS drain, so it can't drain any faster than a Stock AOS
Is there a better solution? yes the UAOS..
It uses a Stock but modified AOS that keeps much of the oil from getting into it the first place, it eliminates the diaphragm in the AOS making it a "Lifetime". part.
If that isn't enough it has an Accumulator that acts as a secondary AOS with a Sensor/Warning system. The Accumulator also can have a drain so that oil can return to the Sump twice as fast as the Stock AOS or MAOS..and puts the replaceable flow regulator in an easy to get to location..
Cost of the MAOS? about $1600 for 996.1 or 987 Boxster/Cayman, about $800 for 996.2
Why does it cost so much? Because it's Porsche and they can....
There you go introducing fact and reality. So the MAOS really isn’t made of unobtanium, with superior technology from another planet? Seems to me the real engineering genius comes out of Alabama
I'm not familiar with the track session you mention, but being fast on a track is NOT
all
about the car's ability. The driver is a large part of the equation and not always based on talent or experience.
my 99 with 101k miles will outperform this car any day of the week. The best part after paying taxes, maintenance and mods Im less than $23k in the car. Today I got a few compliments on it. I even got a free cup of donut holes at kryspy creme. Even the $75k plus top of the line Supra is no match for a 996 tt. I have met some people that paid high $30s low $40s for super. Ice turbos 3-4 years ago. That Toyotas are super reliable yes. Only big issue I had with my car was a coolant hose. My mechanic fixed it at my hose in no time. My car has been running for 24 years. Yes there is a huge porsche tax on oem parts, there are many pretty good substitutes. A single example will illustrate what Im talking about, went to replace the serpentine belt on the turbo, porsche part almost $75, continental belt $20.
This is the cost of a top of the line Supra. You still havent paid taxes. Once I pay taxes on my turbo and do the final tune Im only going to be in it for $63k. I also have a legendary mezger.
Hey Joe, check this out..
Thanks to Glenn, I didn't have to destroy an $800 MAOS to prove a point and dispel all the rumors ..
MAOS and Genuine Porsche AOS diaphragm in blue 0.016 thick rubber... UAOS Viton diaphragm in red 0.040 thick rubber, over twice as robust...
