Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey y'all, I'm finally getting my ohlins coilovers put on this week and have noticed a new groan in the right front along with the normal creaks of a 120K car. I'm doing the drop links and the control arms while they're putting the coilovers on, because I was told those are the most likely culprits for the noises. Any other usual suspects I should have them look at? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Anything with rubber. I have a 04 C4S and one of the rubber boots on my front driveshafts was cracked and spewing grease at 50k miles. When I went to replace it, the ball joint on one of my tie rod ends was also damaged. In my case, the control arms, wishbone, and stabilizer bar all were okay. They'll get a good look at everything while they're replacing the control arms, I'd imagine. Sounds like a sweet upgrade congrats.

POST 3Original post

I changed every arm and bushing except for the subframe. Big difference.
