Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

But they did inspect the plugs to make sure they were in good shape.
Leading evidence: 'Inspect plugs' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Inspect plugs' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A little backstory:
01 996 C4 Cab, 33k miles. I bought it from my uncle a few months ago and it hasnt leaked a drop, ever.
As soon as I got the car I sent it in for IMSB, RMS, clutch, and a some other less big items.
Got the car back a few weeks ago and noticed that its been dropping oil. Based on my observations, its a drop maybe every 2-3 drives. Pics below from directly under the leak. Left (drivers) side of the engine.
Thoughts on culprits? Im planning to go back to the shop and tell them to fix it, but want to have some thoughts going in.
Thanks,
-Mike
Thank you.
So, assuming this is the case: Is this something that the shop caused (they did look at the plugs during overall inspection) or could this be coincidental? Trying to figure out how I approach this with them. The overall experience was a challenge with the shop and having my car returned and dropping oil isn't great, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.
They didn't change those out, no. But they did inspect the plugs to make sure they were in good shape.
A subsequent email from the shop said that if it is the spark plug tubes then those wouldn't be leaking due to their work, but leaking because it's low miles and now being driven more than previous.
It's more than suspect that the car didn't leak, goes in for work and comes back and leaks immediately after.
