Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2001 996 C4 Cab in Meridian Metallic, (25,644 miles when I registered it Tuesday.) The top makes some clunking noises, but I think I really like the looks. I think I'll have to change the mounting posts to the new style. Today was the first time I really got to drive it for a reasonably long ride, after buying it and having it gone through and the water pump, IMS (it was it was double row in great shape), and RMS. I am 6'3" and "big boned" , so I am considering the Console Delete mod (but I have the "hifi," stereo with DSP), and a smaller diameter wheel with a flat bottom. After that maybe a stereo upgrade for Bluetooth, iPhone, etc. And, of course, those wheels are looking pretty dated! Thanks for all the info, up to this point - it feels good that it finally sorted!

POST 2Original post

Your car looks great...and the hard top is the perfect match. I don't think your wheels looked dated, they certainly have a great color for the rest of the car...all in all a very handsome package. Enjoy it as often as you can, they make great daily drivers.

Thanks John, I definitely want to put some miles on it today - but I just saw we have a bit snow so I may wait to see if that melts . I live on the top if a big hill so I don't want to be stuck if I over estimate the car's snow abilities! Gary
