Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

And band them into groups of two with cardboard on each side. The other way is to bag each tire in plastic and then duct tape around the plastic. Agree with bus and also check out freight companies where you can deliver the tires to their terminal and the person your shipping to gets a call at the other end to pick them up. Do not use UPS or Fed Ex - you could buy another set of tires on what they charge!
I have banded 2 tires together and slapped a UPS sticker on it. I have even UPS'd tires mounted on wheels but that is considered 4 individual packages because of 4 tires / wheels. I took saran wrap (industrial type) and wrapped each wheel and then I put the UPS sticker on it. Greyhound is a good idea too.
How far are you shipping? You may also consider auto transport companies to see if they would be willing to pick it up if they have a transport route to the same destination. Of course if you are shipping to the boonies then forget it.
I shipped 4 tires from CA to FL for about $120 via FEDEX. I used the wide scotch packing tape and taped two tires together. Similar to the way Tire Rack ships them.
Keep in mind when an item such as a tire is not in a box you get charged an "exceptional handling charge" per package....Currently that is $8.50 per package on top of your normal shipping rate.
You know you could just forget about all this and sell your tires "local pick up only". May want to consider it and avoid all the headache. Then you can spend your time getting a
