I've been lurking around here for a few months, and finally picked up my first Porsche.
My missus suggested I sell my Ford Focus (which I've had since we came to the US) to my son and get my dream car. So I did before she changed her mind.
(She drives our very modified WRX wagon)
I arranged to have the car PPI'd independently through Aldo's in San Francisco, then made arrangements to fly down from Seattle, pick it up and drive it back.
It has a few minor issues, such as drivers door microswitch issue, keyfob issue, but all in all, very clean. I love it, and only wish I had pulled the trigger sooner. My commutes are much more relaxing and enjoyable now.
Oh, and here's the wife's ride.
Thanks. The WRX is a beast itself, but the Porsche is on another level. I believe the WRX is a bit quicker, (300whp/322wtq), but the handling, power delivery and refinement on the Porsche is just something else.
Oh, and that sound.........
Congrats on the cab! I had the same feeling when I bought my first one six years ago. I can't believe I waited as long as I did. Now, I will always have one....and now I have two.
Life is too short to drive crappy cars.
Or being married to the cleaning maid and boning the governor's wife. Wait a minute! Didn't the opposite happen?
Sxhxartzxnexar...hint! In essence he went from a 996 to a Ford Focus.
And nice car. Congrats!
