At least right now, my plan is to use the C4S as my daily driver.

First off, this forum has taught me a ton about Porsche cars over the last several months so thank you everyone for that!
Felt I could also give a tiny bit back by sharing my humble story with you:
Went to pick up my 2002 C4S today. Already have a 2011 997.2 C2 that I bought earlier this year (my first Porsche). I have always liked the 996 and a few months ago I started looking at regular Carreras in the $15-20k range as my new daily driver. Quickly abandoned those ideas as I could't find anything that I was comfortable with. Next came the 996tt affection but could not justify a high 30s / low 40s price tag. Then saw a nice C4S and felt it represented the best of both worlds; turbo body, chassis and brakes but still the "simplicity" and sound of a NA engine. Long story short, ended up buying the same C4S I first saw. Car has 49k miles. All service records and receipts since new, regular maintenance, new IMS, clutch and RMS earlier this year. So far so good... Car is stock with the exception of 19" AG wheels and Gemballa mufflers that were installed a few months after the car was sold in 2002. New brakes are needed at some point and have a few minor mods planned as well. Nothing major but some small improvements here and there (short shift kit, etc).
Drove the car home today - 145 miles. It felt great. Very tight and mechanically sound. Do not want to jinx it but everything looks good.
Driving impressions: Car feels more planted than my 997.2. Maybe it's the AWD and the extra weight in the front but it was very balanced and cornered extremely well. Don't want to sound like this was my first time driving it but today's long trip was the first real test for me and her...
At least right now, my plan is to use the C4S as my daily driver. I'll keep you updated.

Exhaust sounds pretty nice. Quiet up until 4-5k rpm after which it wakes up. Zero droning.
