Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The sales dude insisted so I let him run his numbers.
Leading evidence: 'Run numbers' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run numbers' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi gang,
I'd never driven a GT3 before and my local dealer had one on the lot. It's an 04 with a little over 7000 miles on it.
It's very, very fast. It seemed just as fast to me as the 03 Turbo I got to drive last year. Brilliant cornering and braking. I love the look of the car as well. It also appeals to me because it's somewhat rare. You just don't see that many of them.
This one was Seal Grey which is OK. If it had been Guards Red or Speed Yellow I would have traded the guy on the spot. But it's Grey. And the interior was very, very plain. No color at all but black. Whoever ordered this car was thinking TRACK ONLY and didn't really care how it looked on the inside.
The sales dude insisted so I let him run his numbers. He was about $5K too high compared to the other 04 GT3s I found on the web. I think he paid too much for the car when he took it on trade.
-Charles
Dell,
They're asking $85K for the car. It is CPO, which is cool but outside of that the car is not that remarkable. No options at all. No cruise, no heated seats (not sure that's an option on a GT3), no nothing. I think he's just asking too much for this car.
There is one other GT3 on their lot that's been thrashed pretty hard on the track. I didn't even look at that one.
"No options is great too, as it means a lighter car. "
That really isn't true. A carbon fiber package in the interior would, if anything, make the car lighter.
Cruise control would only add the stalk. Everything else is already in the car. Painted seat backs, painted door pulls and map pockets. Colored guage faces. Any of those would really make the car look better without adding weight.
I like the car but the interior is just boring.
-Charles
Yeah but all those little add ons you're talking about, can be done on your free time. Don't get little things like that get in the way of purchasing a great car.
Just found this well optioned car on fleabay. You can't ask for more. I have no affiliation.
White GT3
Actually . . . the factory Porsche carbon fiber package would make the car heavier. The carbon fiber is laid over the normal plastic part, so there is a slight weight gain vs. a slight weight loss.
I am not saying that any normal human could perceive this . . . but I wanted to clarify that for you (and yes, my C2 has the full factory carbon package so I have seen how they are made . . . ).
Yeah I know what you mean...I was a bit disappointed when I saw this, it looks better than a patterned decal but not exactly what I would expect for the price.
Understood. Those carbon packages get REALLY expensive. I do get a chuckle out of some of these weight saving things. It's so easy to take it to ridiculous extremes.
I remember going to a show once where some guy was just gushing over his Corvette and the new exhaust he'd installed that saved him 18 pounds. Well, this guy was at LEAST 60 pounds overweight.....
-Charles
I am sure you can negotiate the price he quoted. Hard to believe any sales guy will give you his best price first. You can either negotiate the price down or negotiate some of the interior upgrades you want.
You're right Dell.. I do still love speed yellow... but somehow when I took the car once or twice to church, and everyone was looking as we drove off, I just wished that the color was something more subtle
/I guess sports car shouldn't be driven to churches
I also like the seal gray quitely barelling down the freeway as other drivers trying to figure out from their rearview mirrors what car it is as it gets bigger and bigger
Ah come on, you are just letting them know that you have a wild side to compliment your church side
All kidding aside, I totally understand. I have always had white or silver cars until now. My wife was the one that told me that she was overruling my choice of Carrara White for Speed Yellow. I said fine and the rest is history. To be honest with you, I LOVE THIS COLOR! Actually think I am liking it more than white. But, and this is a big but (pun intended) I really could do WITHOUT all the damn attention it gets. And I am not talking about the camera phones on the roads and the stares at the stoplights.....it's all the Q&A sessions I give in to at EVERY single place I stop and get out of the car (gas station, grocery, post office, Lowe's, etc, etc, etc).
But, the Q&A sessions I get when I am at home on the track (VIR, CMP, etc.) it is ALL good! Those are one's I NEVER NEVER NEVER get tired of.
I just got an E-mail from Suncoast today about an '07 white GT3 that the purchase fell thru on. It is available for MSRP...just a heads up ...no connection here.
