Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check )' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check )' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Some may not endorse this but u can slide a small piece of plywood under the back of the starter and use a prybar to rock the starter vertically.

(some people don't even know how to use a screwdriver) So don't be afraid to do this yourself and save lots of bucks!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No twisting pb blaster did not work wedging wood nogo.
That lower left bolt is bear to get off! I'm a driveway mechanic well at least I play at one !since I lost my garage in the divorce. Fairly easy job as long as you can turn a wrench. (some people don't even know how to use a screwdriver) So don't be afraid to do this yourself and save lots of bucks! I enjoy doing these jobs at 60 still! If (when) I get frustrated like that lower left bolt I just walk away have a beer and get back to it later. So I'm having my beer now and will report back later!
For the lower left one I snaked a wobble extension(S) through the small gap next to the alternator and was able to get it pretty easy. Youll have to connect a few as it will be too long to fit through in one shot so put extension on on other side of alternate and connect with portion that will remain outside, put some electrical tape on the junctions so they dont pull apart.
Good luck.
Fortunately over the years I have collected a lot of long 1/2 inch drive extensions, so I just put enough of them on there to reach all the way back and have the ratchet outside the engine bay, with a swivel and socket on the end. Make sure to put some towels on the bumper. I also found it was a good idea to put a folded up towel under the starter so it is easier to get out of there. You did disconnect the battery first...right?

Yes both electrical connections are off, both bolts came off no problems. I felt all around the starter just in case there was some other thing blocking or connected. Nothing. I tried putting a small strap around it to pull on it. It just does not budge. My wrist and hands are sore from trying
Some may not endorse this but u can slide a small piece of plywood under the back of the starter and use a prybar to rock the starter vertically. U have to break the corosion bond. U just want to be extra careful that u r not prying on the aos tube or the wiring harness.
im sure u will get it.
Another idea - stick a long enough piece of 2x4 wood in there and hammer at an angle. With the two bolts out the only thing preventing it coming out is a corrosion bond between the starter and block. It will come out!
No twisting pb blaster did not work wedging wood nogo. Put it in gear and tried rocking back and forth to maybe loosen it. I'm giving up having it towed to indy today. I feel like a failure...
