Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

yes, works fine, easy to find a 12v usb plug in. Getting the old lighter out is a royal pia. Look for slot on the side and press them in firmly, wiggle it a bit and it will work.
I just did this as well. Here are the steps I used:
Install new stereo, buy USB-A power/data flush mount to connect to the stereo & install in place of the cig. lighter
Remove lighter (not easy) & realize I need to dremel off most of the plastic casing around the lighter in the back of the trim panel. Otherwise the flush mount won't screw in
Connect flush mount to back of stereo using USB-C to USB-A adapter as stereo has USB-C. Install everything & test. All seems to work
Flush mount stops working a few days later. De-install stereo and find out USB-C to A adapter broke while putting stereo in.
Spend days searching for a flush mount that has USB-C as I'm not going to trust a flimsy adapter back there (CarPlay is picky). Come up empty
Admit defeat & order above part. Plan to run Pioneer factory USB-C cable through the cubby.
De-install trim panel for 3rd (maybe 4th?) time
Realize non-smoker power adapter won't snap in without the original light ring from the cig. lighter (actually, I first though the above dremel work ruined my ability to snap it in & I would have to buy a new trim piece)
Take light ring off of cig. lighter (also not easy) & snap on to new power adapter
Power adapter now snaps in like a charm and I'm ecstatic I have a light ring (was bummed about losing that)
Find out there is no easy way to re-route the USB cable to the cubby without de-installing the stereo a 3rd (maybe 4th?) time <--- This is where I'm at now. Will do this tonight or tomorrow
For your installation, just know that it will take some head scratching, wiggling, jiggling and cussing to get the lighter out. Same for the light ring. Don't throw the light ring away, you will need it for your new install.
Once the horseshoe is removed is it an easy job then to remove the originsl lighter and replace it with this one, pressuming the light ring remains where it is ?

12v Socket Relocation
I installed the blank in the location jim010 in post #6 and connected the extra 12v connector there. I need to add a couple of pics of the location but the car is not local at the moment.
I have one of those installed. Only downside is it's only available in the early style gloss vs later style matt. Also it covers up the light. It's part of the non smokers package along with the console insert that removes the ashtray which is great because that ashtray is useless IMO.
