Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My lock/unlock and lid release located on my key just stopped working. Changed the battery in the key still not working, both keys WHY

POST 2Original post

Try putting the key in the car's ignition. I had to do that once. They told me the car needs to "relearn" the keys. Happens from time to time, especially when changing out the keyfob battery.

did that still not working

POST 4Original post

It's likely a cracked solder joint on the board inside the fob. Usually the button that is soldered to the board. If you find that is the case, carefully reflow solder with soldering iron

It's pretty easy - I salvaged 1 of 2 keys I got with the car by doing this.
