Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a really nice set of RD sport wheels S-4's and found that the two rear wheels have cracks, both on the inner ring. What would be the best route to making them usable. I track the car so I don't really think welding would be a good idea. Not having much luck finding anyplace wanting to just sell the inner ring either. Ideas????

POST 2Original post

Have you checked with the manufacturer? This looks like them: http://www.rdsport.com/store/ I would contact them to see if they'll do something to make it right. If nothing else, maybe they'll sell you the inner ring.

User "The_Sauce" from Stanceworks forums can source these for you.

There is a great article in the new Panorama about wheels and metal fatigue. Wheels do not last forever. As I always say, there is only one thing between your *** and the pavement and that is your wheels. Any sign of cracking is a sure sign that your wheels have reached their limit....time to replace.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
