Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Before you flame me, I searched and didn't find the combination of issues I've got here. The brake light really adds some interesting context. Here's the deal: So today on a cold day I ran through a car wash because my Nephew was going to see my car for the first time. Before I pulled in, my daughter who was behind me told me that my passenger side brake light was out. When I pulled out of the car wash onto the street the car felt like it misfired briefly, no warning light issues, then ran fine. When I went to leave my parents house, it ran crappy, felt under powered, felt like it misfired, wouldn't idle, and PSM/ABS lights came on. Eventually it died at a stop sign. When it did, the Check Engine light came on. When I restarted, the lights were off, it ran crappy like before, then the PSM/ABS came on again. When I got home I pulled a P0103 code from the car. Do you guys think the MAF sensor got wet? I have the Evo CAI and filter. I included the brake light issue, because I remember a post that mentioned a brake switch causing this code as well. What do you think?

POST 2Original post

I'm thinking the car wash blew a crap load of water into your engine bay. Most likely it fouled up the after market air filter / MAF and one of your coil packs has a crack in it. Bet it all clears up after it dries out.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought I would provide an update on this. After extensive time to dry there was no real change. I removed the MAF Sensor and cleaned it with CRC/Mass air flow sensor cleaner. Everything seems to be fine now. Maybe the car wash was just a coincidence.
