Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

If you want more performance, tt, GT2 or GT3 are the way to go; upgrading the C2 power-wise is not the most efficient use of your hard earned cash.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello All- I am curious on your thoughts. I have a great 2002 911 C2. It has 93K miles and is solid. New clutch and RMS 10K ago. I really like the 996 series and either want to upgrade to a 996 turbo, GT3 or to add a supercharger and upgrade my brakes and other parts needed to handle the SC as to have a sleeper C2. Thoughts appreciated!!!!!

POST 2Original post

Get a turbo. The cost/benefit analysis will show that this is a better option than upgrading a C2.

POST 3Original post

Ditto. You'll invest turbo money into a C2 that will never be worth as much as a turbo.

POST 4Original post

If you want more performance, tt, GT2 or GT3 are the way to go; upgrading the C2 power-wise is not the most efficient use of your hard earned cash.

POST 5Original post

Concur with everyone else - from everything I've seen, it's never worth putting forced induction into an engine not designed for it. You can either do it "wrong", and just bolt a bunch of stuff to a stock engine and watch it blow up a few thousand miles later, or you can do it "right", build up the engine, and spend WAY more than you would have on the TT/GT2/GT3. Bonus - I love the looks of the Turbo. Lastly - the only people that would consider your 911 a sleeper is other C2 owners Almost everyone I meet thinks I drive a 200mph+ car.
