Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Checked MAF via Durametric - values were within normal range.
Leading evidence: 'Check maf via durametric - values were within normal range' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check condition of the gas cap o-ring' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Wish I could've checked the Regen Valve (the one in the engine bay; 996-110-129-53) - but I don't have something to measure vacuum.

Suggestion
Depending on your mileage and age of car, replacing the MAF sensor is normal.

Durametric is on my list of tools to buy, but what I've learned in the last twenty years of being in the electrical trade is testing tools are great, but take time to learn how to use.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Seems to have solved the problem - no CEL, codes, etc in 2 fill up cycles.
I often get these codes after I fill up the tank (no trouble filling up, no whistling sounds from filler area). Car drives fine.
I can clear them and they don't recur until I fill up again.
Had looked this up previously and many pointed to the regen valve in the engine. I can activate it via durametric and hear it click - but I don't have a vacuum to check it manually.
Last drive (did NOT fill up prior) - got a CEL and pulled these codes:
Now also seeing P0102 (MAF short). I'm not very familiar with the Durametric, so could use some advice on how to use it to narrow down the problem.
tia.
I have some questions. Are you using a premium top tier gas? When you fill up your tank, do you stop at the first click off of the pump nozzle or do you keep trying to pump more after that first click off? Also check the condition of the gas cap O-ring. Better yet, just buy a new gas cap.
It could be a faulty shutoff valve, or you have overwhelmed the evap system with raw fuel. It's just for handling vapors from the tank and fuel system. Depending on your mileage and age of car, replacing the MAF sensor is normal. Only get the specific Bosch MAF sensor for your car.
Thanks for the questions - premium fuel. normal fill, not overfilling. 1999 C2. 115k.
At this age/mileage, I'm all for replacing parts as needed and will order the Bosch MAF. But am wondering how to diagnose further to confirm.
I see lots of MAF measurements in the Durametric software - but don't know how to use it or what to look for. Appreciate any guidance.
Checked MAF via Durametric - values were within normal range.
Wish I could've checked the Regen Valve (the one in the engine bay; 996-110-129-53) - but I don't have something to measure vacuum. Already checked it's activation with Durametric - that was fine.
Since many point to this part, figured I'd change it anyways. Seems to have solved the problem - no CEL, codes, etc in 2 fill up cycles.
Thanks!
Durametric is on my list of tools to buy, but what I've learned in the last twenty years of being in the electrical trade is testing tools are great, but take time to learn how to use. I fully expect a learning curve with this and try not to be overwhelmed by the data presented. Like to at least compare some of whats there to some of the discussions of camshaft deviation etc. Long way to go to fully understanding it, but interested nonetheless.
