They told me a week or so ago that they were not selling any of the RUF conversions in this economy but the rest of their repair, sales and service business was doing very well so it was a mutual parting as they respond to what's working in the market. I think the team there is great and I understand they are still selling RUF parts.

It always made more sense to me to have a US RUF car distributor either in Miami or in L.A. That's where the most exotic car are sold... I believe.

From a freight standpoint Dallas is centrally located to LA/Miami. DFW airport is a central freight hub, Couple-a-three interstates, Rail ports, Federal port-of-Dallas customs and a real port 4 hours away. I'm not saying it's the best place but not the worse choice.

At least they are still around...as I will continue to take my 996 cab there for service or upgrade if needed. Sad to say but RUF performance products or any engine conversions are too rich for my blood :-)
