Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am considering installing the mr12volt interface for phone and bluetooth interface to the CDR 23 headunit. The actual usage is what I am interested in hearing - the online manual is sparse (at least what I can find). I would like to know what is actually displayed on the CDR 23 when a call comes in, what is displayed when streaming bluetooth music, etc. IE - the end-user stuff. Any assistance on that would be appreciated. -Tom

We offer this device. We are working with a customer now on installation. He does not have the CD Changer in the frunk. So far, no joy. But there are a few things to try yet. https://rennkit.com/product-info/blu...-retrofit-kit/

POST 4Original post

Does this replace the CD changer on the MOST loop like the old Dension units? If so, the dealer needs to program the car to think it has one.

POST 5Original post

I have a Mr. 12V adapter in my car. Yes it replaces the CD changer. You now have "disc 1" which is the Bluetooth input, "disc 2" which is a SD card slot, and "disc 6" which is the wired Aux cable. It works about 90% of the time. Occasionally I get a "No CD Changer Found" error on the head unit - I have a PCM2 system. Cycling power on the head unit doesn't clear the error, I need to shut off the car, wait a bit, and restart. I do like it, the install kit came with all the needed fiber optic adapters and other bits.

Wonder what causes the error? Those gremlins can be hard to figure out. Must do some sort of start up diagnostic.

I think it happens when Mr 12V takes too long to link to my phone.
