Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all. I have been looking to swap out my grey standard seats as they are really beyond repair. I have a line on a great OEM set off another 996. They are standard with rear back adjustable power only, while mine are currently 3 way with memory. I am not concerned about the memory or the manual front slide. I am wondering if the electrical harness would still be plug and play. For example are the connectors the same? Could I just plug in the standard seats and be good to go or would the harness need to be modified? I have a 1999 C2. Thanks

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, just in case anyone is wondering.... Yes they are plug and play. Edit.. Passenger yes, driver side no. Need to reroute power on driver side.
