Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to the people on this forum that tackled this job before I had the confidence to give it a shot. It took me about 5 hours but I bet I could do another in half that time now.

POST 4Original post

Nice job. I did that job several years ago and it held up great.

POST 5Original post

Wow, thats serious work. Did you replace the entire element or single wire/connection ?

I replaced the entire element, the top pic shows the new element pad and new seat foam.

POST 7Original post

Is that bottom pic where the wire got fried, the cause of the problem? Looks like no way to fix without pulling the seat covers off. Ugh.
