Nice car - only flaw I see is the blown-out HVAC unit, which is easily replaced/repaired.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

33 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good evening guys, I recently picked up my 2003 Guards Red 911 Carrera 2 from a dealership in the DFW area of Texas. I did a lot of reading and searching before I pulled the trigger and I am in love with it to say the least. 55K miles Sports Exhaust 6 speed Enjoy the pictures!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh, it does already have ECS Tuning wheel spacers and H&R Super Sport Springs on it.

POST 3Original post

Congrats! Beautiful and looks to be in great shape!

POST 4Original post

Way to step into a room! Nicely done. You win. Correct color BTW.

POST 6Original post

While shopping for mine my color list was white, red, back.... then other. I searched hard for a 996.2 in red but had no luck at the time. I ended up with other on my color scale, but very similar to yours in that it came with h&r springs and had a HVAC display that was going bad. LCD kit from here is a simple DIY and the font closely matched the OEM font. http://shop.914rubber.com/996-986-LCD-Display-unit-wth-connectors-replacement-kit-996986LCD.htm Very nice car you have there!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you gentlemen! It's my first exotic sports car ever. I have always owned and driven Mustangs, my current being a 2015 GT that I am building for drag racing. It is a completely different experience than any other car I've even been in or driven, it's euphoric. dblvanos, thanks for the link! I was just searching for a replacement for that!

POST 9Original post

Beautiful. PSE is a must-have option for the 996, IMO. Absolutely glorious sound.

POST 12Original post

You Tube I uh, well - um, gee. Maybe, nah - can't be. sigh

POST 14Original post

Well done! Very nice example. Would of course be curious to know what you paid...

+996 Beautiful car! Deviated stitching looks great, love those wheels, body color bumperettes, stance looks perfect.

POST 17Original post

lowered ride height really make the car meaner Professional detailing and photography skills also help Nicest 'stockfish' 996 photos I have seen in a while ! congrat'

POST 18Original post

Love the car! Step 1 - high temp brake fluid, pads, and X51 baffle kit. Step 2 - meet me at Motorsports Ranch at Cresson TX for the most fun you can have legally Step 3 - sell the Mustang to finance all of the road track upgrades you now want to do Step 4 - smile

POST 20Original post

When people say the 996 is the ugly duckling these are the pictures I will show them. The stance, colour combination and small details make this car absolutely gorgeous. I would take this over a 997 or 991 every damn time.

POST 22Original post

Great pics of a well kept C2, congrats on your first Porsche!

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you so much guys! I probably spent about 6-8 hours total detailing the inside and outside lol.

POST 25Original post

Very nice example. The tinted windows and lowered stance really make it look great.

POST 26Original post

Wow - you sure have a beauty! I had to post (my first one!) as my recently acquired 996 (2000 C2) has 55,000 miles also...and could pass as the convertible twin to your 911. (Notice our son's Mustang trying to sneak into the pic! Is there something about Mustang fans and Porsche 911 owners?) Congrats - you definitely have a keeper. Jerry/KY

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

JLG7, beautiful vert you have there. Yeah, I've noticed us Mustang fans always end up with a 911. I guess we have great taste

POST 28Original post

My Mustang is currently for sale so that I can make a move on the 911 I've been watching for a while!

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you! Yes sir, going to have to repair the screen. There is a couple things in the interior that I'll address such as the driver seat left side trim piece is off because the clip broke. And the moonroof switch is not clipped into the panel, the clips seem to have broke off. But mechanically, it's a very solid and well taken care of 911.

POST 31Original post

wow, it looks so...tight. Perfect. Just the right amount of lowering and stock look. Really really nice car.
