Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, sorry I haven't done a formal intro but I will once I get my car up to spec. Quick question about the AOS unit, is there's hose that connects to this bottom nipple? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

There is no hose to go on this pipe , it pushes into the crankcase then the part is secured by bolting the flat mounting plate area to the crankcase , you need to also get the rubber flexible pipe over the large breather hole under the AOS , the you have the two larger holes at the top which connect to the large plastic breather lines, and finally the two small top pipes are for coolant, I would advise fitting a new one, the later ones have an updated part number with better seals, and if your doing this job it's better to fit new as it's a known failure item!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow, thanks so much for the thorough explanation. Man, the job wasn't easy getting the new aos fitted but made it thru in one piece, lol. Now time to order the new coolant hoses and hopefully I'll be good to go. Thanks again for all your help!

POST 4Original post

Great glad it helped , well done, can be a tough job with restricted space to work in!
