Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just wondering if i am reading this correctly. Cars with PSM seem to have a different sequence when it comes to front callipers based on the Porsche technical manual. So if i am understanding this correctly, the sequence is Rear Right, Rear Left, Front Left and then Front Right while turning the ABS booster pump on from Durametric to get all of the old oil out of the ABS system. I am switching to a different fluid (Motul RBF600) so i would like to get all the stock oil out of there including the clutch. Any advice or confirmation appreciated, thanks!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Pete. Are you familiar with how much fluid is required if you are bleeding the clutch as well? I know for just the brakes 1L is good enough, but with the clutch i wonder if I'll need another 500ml bottle. Thanks.

POST 4Original post

I like to bleed quite a bit out for the clutch. Lots of crud in there. I'd get another bottle. Your clutch will feel much better I bet.

POST 5Original post

Does anyone know how much additional fluid is held in the ABS system? I've been bleeding my brakes without the booster pump step as I don't have a Durametric.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am guessing that however much fluid there is, 1L is enough as i have never seen any spec that calls for more than that.

POST 7Original post

Nedster, where can I find the complete procedure for this process?

POST 8Original post

Using a Motive Power Bleeder combined with Speed Bleeders saves me a ton of time. I swap pads from street to track and bleed before every track event. Can convert the car from street to track in 45 minutes now. Motive Power Bleeder Speed Bleeders Girodisc Caliper Spreader (not needed, but nice to have)
