Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just spent some time getting scratches out of my outer sills. Looking now to replace the inner sills and the center console with carbon fiber or painted parts as they are scuffed up. Was thinking after replacement would be a good idea to add clear bra to keep them looking nice. Anyone do this before? Is it a pro shop job? Or a DIY? DIY is daunting since cutting right shape out and managing contours of the interior pieces seems tough.

POST 2Original post

Go for it! Just make sure every imperfection is taken out.

POST 3Original post

Smaller pieces that are fairly flat and evenly shaped are worth giving a DIY try. I've done some work with di-noc on interior pieces before and it wasn't too bad. Definitely went through a few pieces on the more challenging shapes.

That is definitely a good idea. Depending on the shape, it may be more DIY friendly but it still may be worth it to find a local XPEL Installer and at least get a quote to protect those arras. Maybe the install price isn't too bad and would allow you to his the easy button to have a pro complete the work.
