Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

thanks, i'll have the mounts checked when i complete an upcoming oil change.

My previous 04 Carrera snugged right up when I replaced the mounts.

I suppose you could remove and and inspect the current mounts to see how much of the bushing is sagging (again, refer to my thread for more info there), but if theyve never been replaced, its time.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If the view from the front was as beautiful as from behind, I think the c4s would be the nicest looking Porsche ever. Just my personal opinion.
Almost an optical illusion that this is the same car.
Looks good. Might be worth checking out your motor mounts, or the tailpipe alignment, it looks like you have some sag. Easy/cheap fix if you do need them.
Nice.
I am celebrating 90 days of driving mine. Bought in late January. Did a bunch of work on it to get it ready to confidently drive daily.
Congrats.
Thats how mine (also a C4S) looks AFTER I changed the mounts. Virtually identical.
I was going to start another thread and post a pic but thought Id jump in here since you mentioned it.

Just a thought...Your license plate is on you car every time you drive in the street...there are plate readers everywhere...
What do you think will happen if "us" guys see it?
Ok. I have two 996, and both of them are more tucked than this one. I find it hard to believe the C4S bumper and tip alignment is that much different, but maybe?
OK, if you must know!! My vanity plate, if I ever get one, will be MANUELL. On the slightly more serious side, I can understand some desire to hide plate. Not that the Internet isnt full of ladies and gentlemen of the highest moral character, but say for example someone posts a photo and talks about being on vacation far from home. Given their license plate I assume it wouldnt be too hard to find their home address.
Thanks for the input. My previous 04 Carrera snugged right up when I replaced the mounts. Thats why this is a bit disconcerting.
Im going to take it in to have the fluids changed at 60k (just to give me a baseline) and Ill have it looked at then.
This board is such an amazing resource. Thanks all!

Clearance should be 20mm from the bottom of the bumper. If you scroll down, there are photos of mine after replacing the mounts and adjusting the pipes. PSE equipped car, FYI.

thanks for the photos showing proper pipe location after motor mount replacement. what are other indications of motor mounts wearing out? rough ride, etc?
thanks again
Who cares?
Nothing could make more sense. If you don't care about the above, post your plate. If you do care about it, don't post your plate. The fact that your plate is exposed every time you drive is irrelevant. Why this is a frequent topic of discussion on RL is beyond me.
Honestly, results of motor mount condition are better realized post replacement as youll notice the motor feels like part of the chassis mid turn vs the chassis weight shift followed by the engine. The car just feels more composed through turns.
I suppose you could remove and and inspect the current mounts to see how much of the bushing is sagging (again, refer to my thread for more info there), but if theyve never been replaced, its time.
Sorry to get off topic, but I think its far more careless to post online about going out of town for a long time than anything else. Thats the thing peeps should not do, posting pix of a plate is a non-issue then.
