Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My C4S is in storage, but I think about it. I think about it when I get up. I think about it when I go to bed. I make "porsche noises" quietly to myself when I am sitting at my desk. At least once a day I check this forum. It usually ends up with me googling part numbers. I am not OCD, but I am pretty obsessive. Right now I obsess about tires and swapping a 997 front diff in. Sometimes I dream about swapping in a DCCD from an STI...they make afermarket controllers with all of the g-force sensors and the like. This is probably above my technical skill level... Earlier today I tried a couple of personalised plates on the DMV site to see if they were available. (neun11 was taken, but neuf11 is available). I think I have a problem. I doubt anyone here will be able to help me with it though.

POST 2Original post

You're crazy... you should probably call 911...

Only once a day? Lightweight. 997 front diff? Why on earth man? The best mod you can do for your front diff is the delete mod.

The first step is admitting you have a problem...I have the same problem!

Huh, why a 4WD Porsche if you're just gonna keep it in a garage?

Why not just buy a C2?

POST 14Original post

I bought this for a couple doll hairs on a whim, but now it's a favorite possession. The connecting rod travel on it isn't balanced, so I'm looking for a new one of better build.

POST 15Original post

Let's hear more about the awd system. I noticed I had zero traction on ice last week...but might have been the summer tires...

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 13829318

Don't...must...not... In all seriousness (?) there are many threads here on the AWD system, how tire size affects it and generally how ineffectual it is. We can't even agree on how to test if the AWD system is working or not. If you are driving somewhere that ices, and are running summer tires, you are asking for trouble...AWD or no AWD.

Fixed it for ya. Rope that sh*t off with crime scene tape and move somewhere with palm trees.

POST 19Original post

Man - that's so funny, 5CHN3LL. I needed that. I have the Porsche illness too - very bad...a bad addiction, indeed. A previous (Jaguar; 12 cylinders!) addiction almost took me out! (See pic - please, no Facebook posts!)

What he said! It's lighter, faster and - I have it on good authority - much more manly

POST 21Original post

C4 actually has a stiffer chassis and is the tub for the GT3. That being said, they are all good decisions. But two wheel drive, whether stock or mod, will handle better on a track.
