Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I was looking at some wraps for a 997 turbo I may be buying and found this in my search. What do you guys think? Link to more pics. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=395329740617732&id=101327516684624&set=a.395329560617750. 1073741956.101327516684624&refid=13

POST 2Original post

Not my taste but it looks like they did an excellent job with the wrap. It reminds me of the Sears Spyder bicycle I had as a kid. I loved that bike.

POST 4Original post

There are a couple of chrome-wrapped cars in San Diego - they look ridiculous in person.

POST 5Original post

Not for me and I'd hate to have to deal with sun reflections either while driving it or passing it in another car!

That's the first thing I think of when I see chromed vehicles. I didn't have one but a friend of mind did - I think it had a purple sparkle "banana seat"... It looked awesome in the beginning but soon turned to a rusty mess...

POST 8Original post

I saw a chrome wrapped Cayenne last summer in Montreal.... still through up a little in my mouth thinking about it.

POST 10Original post

At least you can peel it right off when done.

POST 11Original post

No no no no..... but wait there's more.....no! Again though, just like stripes, who cares? Your car, you like it, end of conversation. I don't do things to my car for other people's approval. Just my $0.02.

POST 12Original post

Well I suppose if you wear a bunch of gold chains around your neck, slouch as you drive and crank up the bass, then it would work....

POST 16Original post

I used to see this car parked by my office And there was a detail place near my house that often had a chromed 997 out front. It didn't look horrible, just sort of pointless.

Last year at Zone 1 Watkins Glen, there was a Chrome Wrap Cayman. First glance was , yikes. But, after hearing it and watching it fly around the track , that car could backup the Chrome Wrap. So, my perception was charged, after that it looked pretty cool. BTW, full track car
