Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bought one of these and used the circlip installer to practise installing circlips in the Porsche M96 engine.
Leading evidence: 'Use circlip installer' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test rest of the toolkit' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Now the huge amount for the RMS tool...I think I'll use the PVC method unless I find a greatly reduced used RMS tool.

I think Diamond Blue's is delrin, which I think would last longer than a 3D printed one if used a bunch.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

At least from another review that said the one they got didn't work, so they got this one and it worked.
That should work for 3.6.

I've considered getting this set myself.
RMS tool is extremely expensive.
There is a thread here somewhere on how to make your own from PVC drain found at Home Depot.
I bought one of the drains a couple of months ago.
I was able to get the exact same part number as is listed in the DIY.
Keeping it around until I can find a used RMS tool for cheap.
Thanks, I'll look for that link as I thought the same could be easily made for the RMS.
I don't mind buying tools but not something so expensive for one time use...
...and the link to the other ad, just in case you want to install new pistons.

That part of the toolkit works great.
I've yet to test the rest of the toolkit.

Too bad you're not closer, I'd spend $50 on the tool and loan it to you.

I'm hoping it is not going to be a one time use though.
When I become more familiar with the M96, I'll likely use it on customer cars.
Sure wish The Knowledge Gruppe would do more classes.
I couldn't make the last one due to surgery.
I'd like to at least take the online course.
Yah, shipping for that tool is as much as the tool. I have a friend with Amazon Prime that's going to order for me.
Check this out, I just sent Chris a msg...
Ha, I'm following right behind you.
I'm going to try to get one of each of the RMS tools.

2 is 1, 1 is none.
