I used pliers and tried to get the metal just like the stock ones but still no luck.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I removed my pumpkins today to see that there are bulbs in there, I just bought these: How do I install these? I didn't see a place to plug them in.

POST 2Original post

The standard bulbs are little stubby push in ones with a contact on each side. From your picture, I would guess that the little circuit board with traces is designed to fit into the bulb holder from the original side marker.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so I have them connected now thanks to you guys but they will not pop back in like the previous sidemarkers. I used pliers and tried to get the metal just like the stock ones but still no luck. They want to pop out no matter what I try. Is there something that im missing here and need to try?

I think the prevailing wisdom is to spritz a little WD-40 on them.

POST 8Original post

did you get them to stick back in? I just bought the same ones (from ECS tuning) having trouble figuring out how to install them as well. reluctant to take the originals ones out if these wont fit in flush

They won't sit flush - due to the LED heat sink design inside the light the outer lens has to be built to have wider than stock lens in width of it coming out of the car's chassis. Watch this to see the correct way to remove and install the side markers: You Tube
