Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Reported cause
When I had similar problem mine turned out to be a bad turn signal flasher.
Leading evidence: 'turn signal flasher' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'turn signal flasher' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust contacts...all' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Same issue on 2004 C2 - I replaced bulbs, replaced bulb housing, adjusted the contacts...all to no avail.

I had to ensure that the locking mechanism was securely engaged when I replaced the headlight assembly.

The other problem is when you screw the light holder back in the headlight housing it may not turn all the way on (you might think it is, but it still can turn about 10 degrees farther) - I used a vise grip to give it a bit of an extra twister.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This actually solved the problem (for now) for me.
Today I noticed a rapid blink when I put on left turn signal. The right turn signal was normal rate.
I assumed burnt out bulb, and sure enough my drivers side front turn signal was out.
I went out and bought a pair of 7507 bulbs, and replaced both sides. Checked and both turn signals were good. Buttoned things up inside the frunk, and then tested again. Noticed now the left side turn signal looked less bright than the right side. I continued to test, and now the left side went out again and rapid turn blink was back on that side. Burned out a new bulb.
Anyone have any ideas. I guess its possible it was a bad bulb, but pretty unlikely.
Thanks
Additional info, 2002 C4, no other electrical problems. Tested everything else out so don't think its an ignition switch thing.
More info, I got a 3rd bulb and tried it. Worked again for about 30 seconds, then stopped working and rapid blink.
Put in the 2nd bulb (the first new one) and tried that. Same thing.
So the bulbs are fine. The bulb I removed initially I beleive is dead (black smoke on the glass).
I looked at the contacts and they appear ok from what I can see.
Any ideas?
Ok so after some more googling I came across another thread on another forum for 996 turbos.
Apparently common problem with same headlight housing.
The problems are the contacts. The fix is to bend them back. I think the key is to bend them back even farther than you are comfortable -- I thought I might break them in my final attempt. The other problem is when you screw the light holder back in the headlight housing it may not turn all the way on (you might think it is, but it still can turn about 10 degrees farther) - I used a vise grip to give it a bit of an extra twister.
This actually solved the problem (for now) for me. So help this helps someone else.
When I had similar problem mine turned out to be a bad turn signal flasher. One was blinking faster and other one was normal. I only changed out the flasher and everythings been fine for last 3+ months. If you're problem comes back it might be worthwhile to change out the flasher, they're cheap enough.
Same issue on 2004 C2 - I replaced bulbs, replaced bulb housing, adjusted the contacts...all to no avail. My problem turned out to be that the headlight assembly wasn't firmly set into the contacts at the back of the assembly. I had to ensure that the locking mechanism was securely engaged when I replaced the headlight assembly.
