Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well after 6 months of ownership I had numerous occasions of hitting redline and having the rev limiter kick in. I finally got around to doing something about it. Solution: Ecliptech Shift-P2+ shift light The Porsche is such a quick revving beast especially with a light weight aluminum flywheel. That redline just comes too quickly. Getting hit by the dreaded rev limiter bog down gets annoying and unsafe for the engine. Having to keep my eyes on the road during track days, foot pounding accelerations on highway on/off ramps, spirited down shifting safe passes and tryiing to avoid potholes and road obstacles. Especially on a lowered (H&R Coilovers) ride with low profile 19's it's just not safe to look at the tach. Also having evo cold air intake, milltek headers, 200 cell X-pipe with PSE (valve rigged open) just makes me want to rev as high as safely possible just to hear the beast scream that intoxicating exhuast!!! After installing it this mornig (quick easy install by the way, took less than 30 min) I took the Porsche C4S out for a spirited drive through the back roads and the shift light is just what i needed. Just when i think it can't get any more enoyable driving the Porsche it just got a little better. I highly recommend installing one. Mark

I am going to be ordering one in a week or two. They tech person is helpful, he explained that the P2+, can also be used for low oil pressure flash, I thought this would be a great feature.

Your going to love it. You can add up to 3 items, also install a speaker (piezo buzzer or equivalent) to have an audible warning added to the visual. I spent over an hour just playing with the different light sequences and actually ended up customizing my own. I installed mine on the tach bezel so that i can still see the warning lights and still see most of the OBC readouts.
