Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T000231Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi fellow 996ers. I just moved to Los Angeles and am looking for a great indy mechanic to become my trusted source for repairs and such. Also looking for a good tire place to replace the shoes as well as getting a new alignment (dirt roads will knock the alignment out of shape pretty quickly, I learned). And if someone knows a good detailing place, holler at me as well. Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

LA is a big wide place. What part are you in? There are more than a few good shops in LA.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll be living in West Hollywood. Got a good recommendation?

POST 4Original post

Tony is one of the best there is. I recently heard him speak at a Pacific Northwest Region meeting. The local club actually "imported him" to the Seattle area from the LA area to speak about the Porsche 911 GT1 (and they also imported an actual car as well). Great talk. Very knowledgeable guy. He had a couple of his mechanics with him as well. http://www.callasrennsport.com/tony-callas/ Don't know how far Torrance is from where you are.

POST 5Original post

I use Speed Gallery in North Hollywood. He can handle it all, from stock to race. Tires, alignment, engine, paint (body shop in the same building) anything you need. PM me if you want numbers and contact. http://www.thespeedgallery.com

Hi Dan!

POST 11Original post

No idea on mechanic but in your area the best detailer is Daniel of Car Connoisseur. [phone removed]

KONCEPT MOTORWURKS is the absolute best. I would never think of having anyone else besides David work on my car. Fair and honest and extremely knowledgeable on these engines. http://www.konceptmotorwurks.com
