My '99 Cab interior door panels need help, and rather than having upholstery done, I was considering buying some used ones in better shape... but what I tend to find on ebay typically comes out of a COUPE... Will coupe interior door panels fit a cabriolet? I thought, "of course!" but the seller I asked didn't think so... Any help is greatly appreciated!

Checkout autoatlanta and compare the part numbers. From what I recall seeing they are the same. Fwiw the main carpet is different among other things

are the doors the same on all 996? of course. there may be some style changes among the models. just look and see if they look the same or change both and make them match eachother.

Just checked the PET, lots of variations in part numbers across the years but no seperate part numebrs for coupe and cabriolet

I would *assume* they are the same from a fit standpoint, but not sure. One thing I am sure of is that the mk1 and mk2 cars have a different pattern in the material. The Mk1 cars have a grain that is almost like a basketball texture, while the Mk2 cars have a more natural/random pattern. I learned that the hard way when I was looking for new rear interior panels for my Mk2 cab. By the way, if anyone needs a nice set of Mk1 rear cab panels in Savannah Beige, make me an offer!
