Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm thrilled though, my frunk is an order of magnitude easier to use now.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Personally, I carry a pack of these in my car under the passenger seat.

These are made in Germany and specially designed for optimum cohesion with the Porsche polymers found in the frunk area of our cars. They come in packs of 15 for only $30.90 with free shipping. I just throw it away after I have used one to close the frunk once. A pack will last around 3 months, so they really are cost effective and a small price to pay given that the Porsche logo on the front of the car is the most noticeable area of these cars.
I've found if I first tape over the optical sensor on my automatic garage door, then position the car just so, and put a folded up towel across the front hood, then the garage door closing does a great job of shutting the frunk cover.
My frunk also needed a ton of force (two hands just below the crest) to close, which I realized wasn't normal when I tried on a friend's 986 Boxster S and was able to latch it easily with one hand.
I just WD-40'd the latch mechanism and it seems to work a lot easier now. I'd try that before trying to readjust anything.
Yeah, pretty wild. Actually, my initial plan was to dismantle the entire assembly to adjust it, so the common sense approach clearly wasn't an immediately obvious one to me. Common sense is overrated.
I'm thrilled though, my frunk is an order of magnitude easier to use now. Perfect for storing the dollar bills used to wipe the fingerprints off.
