Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You *may* have to disconnect the ABS sensors on the front wheels as well but I am not 100% sure on the 996.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found a tuner. He has a dyno but it's 2wd. he can street tune it for me, which I've had good success with on my old cars but I'm curious about numbers. What do I need to be disconnecting under the car to run on the dyno? Can I just unbolt the driveshaft and run on the dyno as a 2wd setup?

POST 3Original post

POST 4Original post

You do not need to delete/permanently disconnect any sensors when removing the FWD parts on a 996. It's ridiculously easy, but it does take a little time given the amount of stuff (the underbody panels, CV joints, and the flex disc on the nose of the transmission.
