Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

One of our friends (SRL), here on Rennlist had these made for his front sways. I researched what could be done and I found a local metal fab and engineering company to do it forme.
Why you ask?
In order to do a GT3 front and rear sway bar conversion on a stock 996, you need shorter drop links in the front. The only available drop links that are available are TRG's ($$$) and Porsche Motorsports ($$$) adjustable links. The Motorsports versions alone are $430+ for the set.
Good news. If I can get about 10 people, I could order the links and have them manufactured by a local metal engineering company. I have asked them to provide me with pricing to fab 10 of these at a time. Currently for my single set, (one off) it will cost me around $100 to fab. This brings my total to $150 for OEM modified drop links. I am willing to bet, I can drop the price based on a quantified amount.
Any interest? I can get the stock links at around $25 each. So that's $50 plus shipping and tooling time. Please note, I am still waiting on a total for fab / welding time. Anybody interested? Maybe we can even coordinate a group buy with a supporting vendor for GT3 sways. Vendors...any interest there?

Chad, what was the outcome of your droplink project? I was doing a search and this thread turned up. I'm looking for an alternative to the $$$ droplinks, need two sets, I take it OE will work on the rears.
There are a couple of suggestions out there. Vivid racing stepped up and created their own adjustable ones. (Not bad at all, IMO) or...you could go and have a set of stock ones and chop, reweld the fronts. You are correct. OE rears are a-ok.
The result, was flawless. Worked great. And the GT3 bars are a must have.
