Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I finalized the purchase of the red 996 and now want to see options for my wheels. Can anyone photoshop these to be high gloss black with a high gloss red ring to match the color of the car? And also all high gloss black? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Once you have the car home I would love a close up shot of those fender crest stickers. Wondering how nice they are. I asked in another one of your posts if you could ask where the owner got them. Congrats on purchase.

POST 4Original post

How about a 5 minute hack job? lol...too much work.

thanks! Gives me a good idea.

I dislike those Fender stickers but to each their own. I have seen them on ebay, I don't think they are specifically fender stickers they are just logo/crest stickers.

POST 7Original post

Red calipers would go nice, too. Agree about the fender decals. The first thing I'd do is remove them.

POST 8Original post

the potato quality of the photos will make any attempt look pretty sad. Take some better photos first.

These are just photos from the sale listing. The car should be arriving in a few days.

@#12 look at Rennlister slopeslider's cabrio black w/polished edge,...very classy

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all! I think I am going to stay with the wheels on the car, and paint them high gloss black with the outer circle being a high gloss red to match the car. Then throw in some red calipers.

POST 16Original post

All wheels should be painted black! But do yourself a favor and skip the red. Or if you MUST have it, powdercoat the wheels then do the red in plasti dip so you can take it off after the ricer convention. Also, satin looks sportier than high gloss, IMO. BTW, your new car looks awesome!!!

POST 17Original post

Nice looking car! It seems like black wheels are a generational thing. Generally I don't like them. The Ferrari looks right with black wheels. I also saw a GT3 in matt black with glossy black wheels that looked great. I would keep the car as is but add the red calipers.

POST 18Original post

Not always a fan of black...but looks good on the red car! Guess you don't need to shop for a spoiler now!

I agree with this 100%. The red lip is too honda.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Too Honda, I love it. Since the top won't be up much, I think high gloss black will look perfect with red calipers behind. And yes, no more spoiler shopping for me! Just trying to get the car picked up and shipped. I hate dealing with these transport companies.

I merged the original picture and Kalesh's **** poor photoshop attempt:

Personally, my favourite look.

POST 28Original post

I personally like the black wheels/red lip but dislike the spoiler. funny how everyone has a different concept of what is attractive

But at least we can all agree on Guards Red

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 13818866

Guards red is juvenile looking. Orient Red Metallic is much classier, and clearly faster

Tire Rack has a utility where you select your car & color, and then it'll put whatever options for wheels you want with it.
