Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Roads around here kinda suck and my suspension feels like its due for some attention. My 02 Cab will never see track use, and I really do not want to lower it much more then stock (inch or so would be okay). A few of my buddies AutoX and it is possible that I might give that a try sometime. Current suspension has a metallic sound coming from front passenger side when going over <30mph bumps. Ride is rather harsh overall and just doesnt feel "tight". Looking for a complete kit that would have everything or most everything I would need. Looking to have the car feel and handle better than it did when it was driven off the dealer lot. Any feedback or ideas appreciated.

POST 2Original post

I'm well into investigating street suspensions. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but I believe the KW v1 / PSS10 / Ohlin R&T options are the best value for the money. Slightly lower with better ride quality AND good for canyon or A/X duty.

POST 3Original post

For street only car, especially on a cabrio, for the front get new shocks (like B4's or Koni's), new suspension control and diagonal arms and new stock strut top mounts and bearings. For the rear, just get new shocks and new control and diagonal arms. Then get new stock-type motor mounts, and your car will feel like new. I wouldn't want anything stiffer or lower for a street only car.

POST 4Original post

Porsche's M030 ROW (Rest of World) sports suspension is what I installed on my '02 Cab about 6 years ago. My car is a long-distance road trip and spirited driving machine, no track or A/X use. I am quite satisfied with it. I purchased mine from Suncoast Porsche: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...WM0302002.html

POST 5Original post

I'd replace all the bushes that show even minor signs of wear And look at the mo30 kit from suncoast , new shocks , springs and swaybars in that package It will drop the car an inch and firm it up slightly , and it will improve the resale value , people love mo30 factory sports suspension at sales time, purists / PCA type buyers don't like much modified cars like mine but factory spec upgrades are popular.

POST 6Original post

M030 Euro kit is probably your best choice there. Plug and play bolt on. Lowers the ride height a bit and gives bigger sway bars.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys for all the feedback. For the $$$$ I think the M030 eu is the way to go. Glad I asked bc I really had no idea which direction to go for a daily driver setup. Going to talk to my indy to have them put an estimate for everything.

POST 9Original post

I've also got Euro M030 - i'd like it to be a bit lower so if you're looking to go lower than 10mm then this kits not for you.

This is your best option.

POST 12Original post

MCS (Motion Control Suspension) makes great products and has a single adjustable non-remote reservoir system for the 996 they ride incredible and work very well for autocross and some track days.

POST 13Original post

I'm a big fan of the Ohlins, but I can't argue about the pure value of the ROW m030 as it comes with sways etc at a great price. I actually debated a used ROW m030 and adding fresh adjustable koni yellows for better damping, but I wanted stiffer springs so went with Ohlins.

POST 14Original post

From what I've been able to find (or actually not), there is no ROW m030 kit/package for a C4s, right? I don't think my suspension is necessarily tired, but i do plan to freshen things up a bit when i go back to 18's (car came with 19's) and I plan to drop it ever so slightly in the process.

Hey thanks for the link! But I must say, at that price (and a stripped down kit at that) I'll look to fitting a true coilover set up. Apologies for the thread jack!
